Voice to Voice (Experimental)

Speak into your microphone and generate speech in a different voice in real time. Pair with VB-Cable to use it as your mic in Discord, Slack, and more.

Experimental Feature

Voice to Voice is currently experimental. It works but is still being refined. If you run into issues or have feedback, please reach out.

What is Voice to Voice?

Voice to Voice lets you speak into your microphone and have your speech regenerated in a completely different voice. Instead of typing text, you talk naturally and the app converts your words into speech using any voice from your library.

It works across all three generation tabs:

  • Clone tab - Speak and hear your words in any cloned voice
  • Design tab - Speak and hear your words in any designed voice
  • TTS tab - Speak and hear your words in any built-in voice

How to Use It

  1. Open the Settings panel in the Lab (gear icon in the top right)
  2. Under Voice input, configure your dictation shortcut (default: Ctrl+Space on Windows/Linux, Cmd+Space on macOS)
  3. Go to Clone, Design, or TTS and select a voice from the library
  4. Hold the shortcut key and speak into your microphone
  5. Your speech is transcribed and entered into the text field
  6. Click Generate (or enable 'auto-generate and play' in settings) to hear it in the selected voice

Virtual Microphone (VB-Cable)

Paired with Voice to Voice is a TTS-to-virtual-mic integration using VB-Cable. This routes any audio generated in Voice Creator Pro straight into a virtual microphone, so it shows up as your mic input in other apps.

This means you can "speak" in Discord, Telegram, Slack, Zoom, OBS, or any application that accepts a microphone input, using any AI voice.

Setting Up VB-Cable

  1. Open Settings in the Lab (gear icon)
  2. Under Microphone Output, you'll see the VB-Cable status
  3. If VB-Cable is not installed, click the Download VB-Cable link to install the free virtual audio driver
  4. Once installed, restart Voice Creator Pro and the integration will be detected automatically
  5. In your target app (Discord, Slack, etc.), set your microphone input to VB-Cable Output

Using VB-Cable as a Voice Changer

Once VB-Cable is set up, you can use Voice Creator Pro as a real-time voice changer:

  1. Select a voice in Clone, Design, or TTS
  2. Hold your dictation shortcut or press the mic icon and speak
  3. Click Generate (or enable auto-generate in settings)
  4. The generated audio is routed through VB-Cable to the connected app

In Discord, Slack, Zoom, or any other app, the other person hears the AI voice you selected, not your real voice. You speak naturally and Voice Creator Pro handles the conversion.

Using VB-Cable for Text-Based Communication

You can also type your message instead of speaking:

  1. Type your script into the text field in any tab
  2. Click Generate
  3. The audio is routed through VB-Cable to the connected app

This is especially useful for accessibility. Whether you are mute, non-verbal, or simply prefer typing, you can participate in voice calls and conversations with a natural-sounding voice.

Why This Exists

This feature came directly from a Reddit user who mentioned they were mute and were looking for a way to "talk" to their friends on Discord with a voice that sounded more like a real person than the usual robotic TTS options.

That message stuck with us. This is just the first step, but we want accessibility to be a real focus in Voice Creator Pro going forward. If there is something that would make the app work better for you, please email us.

Use Cases

Accessibility

Use your own input method to communicate with a natural-sounding voice in real-time conversations on Discord, Slack, Zoom, and other platforms.

Live content creation

Stream or record with a consistent character voice in OBS without pre-recording lines. Speak naturally and let the AI handle the voice conversion.

Privacy

Keep your real voice private in online meetings or streams while still participating in voice conversations.

Language practice

Speak in one language and hear how the same words sound in a different voice or accent.
