Importing & Exporting

Import documents into a project and export finished audio in MP3, M4B, WAV, or FLAC format.

Importing

Import an EPUB, PDF, DOCX, or plain text file to create a project. Voice Creator Pro extracts the text and preserves chapter structure automatically.

You can also paste text directly into the Projects window with Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on macOS) if you already have your script in the clipboard.

Text Cleanup

Enable Clean up imported text in Project Settings to automatically strip decorative symbols while normalizing ligatures and whitespace. Punctuation, dashes, and quotes are preserved.

Segmentation

Imported text is split into segments at paragraph boundaries. Paragraphs longer than the Max chars per segment setting (default: 500) are split at sentence boundaries.

After changing segmentation settings, click Re-parse to reprocess the current document.

Exporting

When you are happy with your project, export to your preferred audio format.

M4B Audiobook Export

M4B is the standard audiobook format used by Apple Books, Audiobookshelf, and other audiobook players. Voice Creator Pro's M4B export includes:

Chapter markers derived from your project's section structure, so listeners can skip between chapters
Cover art and metadata embedded in the file
Continuous playback across all sections and segments

Output Settings

Configure export defaults in Project Settings under the Output section:
