Subtitles, a Pro's Touch on Dubbing, and More

Here's what's new in Voice Creator Pro v1.9.4. Everything below is live on both the desktop app and in VCP Cloud.

Dubbing, Now With a Pro's Touch

Since dubbing launched I've been working closely with Joseph Candido, a professional video editor, to make it feel like a tool a real editor would actually reach for. Almost every dubbing improvement in this release came out of that collaboration. Give him a follow on Instagram: @josephcandidojc.

Here's some of what came out of that work:

• Speaker tools — add a speaker after a dub or reassign a segment to a different speaker, with sharper diarization that mislabels far fewer lines
• A better editor — undo/redo, click a word to seek the preview, and a banner that prompts a re-dub when you edit a line's text
• Per-word subtitle styling — automatically style key words differently from supporting words, upload your own fonts, and tweak per-caption fonts, boxes, spacing, and timing
• Word animations — wave, count-up, jitter, and per-letter pop and bounce, with intensity controls
• More export formats — SRT/VTT that mirror the on-screen captions, an After Effects (.jsx) export, and a transparent-background subtitle video you can drop over your own footage
• Same-language dubs now keep the original wording verbatim and just re-voice it, instead of running it through the translator

New: A Subtitles Generator

This one was Joseph's idea too. Sometimes you don't want to re-voice a video, you just want clean, styled captions. So there's now a dedicated Subtitles tab.

• Transcribe and caption any video without dubbing it, with optional translation into another language
• Caption audio too — upload MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, FLAC, or OGG, not just video
• Click a word in the editor to jump the video right to that moment
• Export the subtitled video over your original source, or plain SRT/VTT files

It shares all the styling power from dubbing, so your captions can look exactly how you want.

Multi-Speaker Scripts

Long-form projects can now take a speaker-marked script. Paste in dialogue with speaker labels and the app detects each speaker so a full multi-character scene comes together in one step. You can also drag to reorder segments in the Reader, with the preview following along.

Voice & Cloning

A handful of quality-of-life upgrades for everyday cloning:

• Smarter reference clips — trim to sentence boundaries, with a warning when a clip ends mid-sentence so your clones sound cleaner
• Inline rename voices right from the library dropdown, plus quick Clone, Design, and Explore shortcuts when adding a voice
• Auto language defaults for the models that support it

There's also a more reliable Voice Changer, a custom right-click menu for text fields, loudness-normalized DramaBox output, and a batch of stability fixes for transcription and audio handling.
